What do I need to use GridTrail?
You’ll need a Second Life account, your GridTrail inworld HUD, and a web browser to access the portal. Start with the HUD to connect your avatar to GridTrail.
What details do I need to register for the portal?
Whether you purchase GridTrail or take a demo, you only need to set a password for your portal account. You do not need to provide an email address, real name or any other registration details.
Use a unique GridTrail password, not your Second Life password.
Is GridTrail only for sailing?
No. GridTrail supports water, road, air, rail, bicycle, horse, hiking and mixed trails. Use it for a coastal cruise, a mainland drive or a journey of your own.
Do I need Host to join a group trail?
No. Solo owners can join trails created by Host owners. Choose Host when you want to create and manage shared trails yourself.
Where do I log in?
The GridTrail portal is at gridtrail.ahoybingo.com ↗. This page introduces the product; the portal is where you use your maps, routes and trails.
Can I revisit an older trail?
Yes. Browse the Trail Archive, search by name or filter by travel type, and join an available archived trail to follow its route again.
